Version 3.9 of WordPress has been released and theres some exciting new refinements. The last major update made the media section easier to work with, the new WordPress 3.9 update adds the cheery on top. Adding, editing , and placement of media has been vastly improved.

WordSesh 2013, Free WordPress Web Conference

WordSesh 2013 has been announced to take place on December 6th and 7th, 2013. Just in case you missed last years, WordSesh is a free WordPress web conference, a bit like a WordCamp event, but you can do it in your pyjamas.

WordSesh 2103 is a 24 hour WordPress-athon; 1 session per hour for 24 hours! and it’s absolutely free. Check out the official website at WordSesh.org for more details.

Wordsesh is published through Google Hangouts, from 24 speakers broadcasting to a worldwide WP audience.

WordPress 3.6.1 Released

WordPress 3.6.1 has been released, it’s a maintenance release fixing 13 bugs. The update is also a security patch addressing three issues now fixed by the WP security team. I’d recommend a full back up and update.

I have updated to WordPress 3.6.1 across a handful of websites and all of them updated just fine.

WordPress Blog Release 3.5 Elvin

WordPress blog release 3.5 is named in honour of drummer Elvin Jones, noted for playing alongside John Coltrane. This WordPress release has re-imagined the media section; uploading photos and adding galleries has a much better work flow.

WordPress 3.5 also brings with it a new default theme called Twenty Twelve, which is a nice clean theme with a fully responsive layout; great work WP!
