Shopify has released Shopify Apps, along with an API for developers. This means shop owners will be able to easily add useful features to their shops and that Shopify developers will be able to create some outstanding apps and better still theres a billing system in place for receipt of payment for the developers.
The launch of the Google Chrome Web OS is great news across the the whole tech industry, for web designers the expansion of this web based OS should mean better support for CSS 3 and HTML 5 and all the goodness that brings. I’m already dreaming of border radius, multiple backgrounds, opacity and web fonts.

This great resource is offering an Online Certification Program. Certificates include PHP, ASP, XML, Javascript and HTML which costs 75usd.
As a Typekit user, you’ll have access to our library of high-quality fonts. Just add a line of JavaScript to your markup, tell us what fonts you want to use, and then craft your pages the way you always have. Except now you’ll be able to use real fonts. This really is going to change web design.
Shopify have released version 4.0 of Vision, their Shopify theme application, I love Vision and shopify and I am excited to see some great new features including support for jQuery ( my javascript library of choice), different aspect ratios for products and updated the product options amongst others.

A cool technique for creating CSS speech bubbles: Speech bubble icons have become synonymous with comments. When creating yet another one for a standard comment link, it occurred to me that there might be a way to make the icon without ever opening up an image editor. It could all be done with CSS.

Shopify has announced new Multiple options for products feature; You can now have products with multiple options, making it easier for you to organize your products and for your customers to browse and select what they want to buy. For example, if you sell jeans you’ll easily be able to create a different drop-down menu for the colour/style, another one for the waist size, and another for the length.
