Whether your working on a logo design or a homepage design, don’t just present your concepts to the client and say “what do you think?”, inform your client of your design choices and tell them why you used that angular font or why you used that header color and explain to them why it suits their brand.
If you don’t explain your design choices, but instead just show them a concept, they may simply state that they like it or not without really understanding the designs meaning, If youve explained the design choices, chances are the client will like and accept the concept.
Most websites nowadays should probably have a content management system, I haven’t worked with a client in probably two years that doesn’t use them.
Basically its a big wad of code with a database attached to it, where the users can login, add, edit, and delete all the content and manage the whole site from one little area, if you don’t do this already and your a designer, then I suggest you do, it will give you an edge over people that don’t use them.
