Web Design Critique: Neutron Creations

July 28th, 2010, Category: Web Design Critique

This weeks web design critique is Neutron Creations by Elliot Jay Stocks. This design is both loud and minimal. Bright angular lines guide the eye to the main content areas which have lovely typography. It’s a grid design based on fragmented Cubism principles, Lets Discuss.

“It’s a grid design based on fragmented Cubism principles” – what I mean by this is the design is created to draw your eye from one piece of content to the next. Unlike traditional web layouts which read left to right, top to bottom.

Loving the design. Like you say its bold and minimal all rolled into one – quite a feat to achieve.

    Nice work Elliot.

I really like the design to the website. The use of the navy blue background with the yellow/gold outline, really works well together and brings the website to life. It helps to stop the website looking to dark. Really nice website, great use of the grid system.

An interesting approach. It took me more time than I would have liked to work out the search box at the bottom, but overall, I like it!
